EMPLOYEE SATISFACTION TOWARDS TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT PRACTICES IN BHARAT PUMPS AND COMPRESSOR LIMITED NAINI ALLAHABAD

Abstract

For any organization to survive in this competitive world it has to excel in their employees competencies as well as retain them with the organization .For this purpose any organization needs to take care of two factors employee development and employee satisfaction. Bharat Pumps and Compressor Ltd. (BPCL) is a public sector undertaking in Naini, Allahabad engaged in manufacturing and supply of heavy duty pumps and compressors. The products are hi tech and company take care that the total satisfaction of customers with least maintenance cost and optimum energy conversation should be achieved in manufacturing process .So company takes care of training and development programs to equip their employee to better cope up with the technical demands and dynamic environment today and the company also takes care that the employees are satisfied with the training and development practices .This study seek to identify the variables of training and development practices and the impact of this training and development on employee satisfaction. The primary data for this study was collected through a structured questionnaire that was tailored with the help of literature review and pilot study. The questionnaire comprised of 44 items, categorized into 3 sections, Demographic Representation of employees, Employee Satisfaction with Organization, and Training and development practices. With the support of SPSS, Co-relation and regression analysis was conducted to generate results. It was found that training and development has a positive association with employee satisfaction and that by boosting the training and development activities within the organization employees satisfaction can be increased in the organization.
