Abstract

Abstract: Health Insurance is a contract between the insurance company and the insured person to cover the medical cost which arises from illness,injury or the medical complications. The government funded healthcare system the quality and access of services had always been an area of concern in this sector with the liberalization of economy the private health market included the health sector and with the passage of time had shown rapid progress however with proliferation of various health care technology and general pries rise the health care become expensive and unaffordable to large segment of Indian population since health insurance sector has shown tremendous progress but still there are large opportunities as only 4% of Indian population is covered.
