Abstract
Abstract: This paper has studied the impact of New Technology adoption on farm income distribution in Coastal Odisha. The study pertains to both Kharif and Rabi seasons of the agricultural crop year 2011-12. The data were collected through household survey and interview schedule method from 108 farm households of two villages in Coastal Odisha- one technologically developed village and the other technologically less developed village. The findings of this study reveal that the large scale adoption of new technology leads to a skewed distribution of farm income, whereby the incomes of the large and medium farm households scale up more proportionately than that of the marginal and small farm households. The study also shows that the average farm income on an overall basis is much higher on the farms in the technologically developed village than in the technologically less developed village.
