Abstract

Malaxis acuminata D. Don (= Microstylis wallichii Lindl.), The Crimson Shield Orchid, is a widely distributed species in Thailand, China, Burma and Indo-China. The plant grows in temperate and subtropical Himalaya, Western Ghats, Nilgiri Hills and Andaman Islands in India.
