Abstract

Amrita Pritam was a renowned Indian novelist, essayist, and poet. She wrote in Punjabi and Hindi and was often called the “Voice of Punjab”. Her novels, essays, and poetry spoke about almost every facet of life in Punjab - farming, rites, rituals, traditions, religious practices, and other social concerns - she covered it all.
