Abstract

Proxy warfare, facilitated by non-state actors, has emerged as a pivotal dynamic in the contemporary Middle East, filling power vacuums left by state weaknesses or conflicts. This paper explores the roles of various non-state actors—ranging from insurgent groups to transnational organizations—in conducting proxy warfare across the region.
