Abstract

A circular bioeconomy approach is essential to curb ongoing terrifying climate change. Replacing fossil fuel-derived polymers with biodegradable, bio-based polymers is a critical part of this strategy. Cyanophycin is an intriguing and natural polymer with a wide range of potential applications.
