Abstract

Soil respiration (SR) contributes significantly to the total carbon dioxide (CO2) flux from terrestrial ecosystems. Abiotic and biotic factors, including soil temperature, soil moisture, soil microbes, litter decomposition, and vegetation type along with land use changes influences the SR in an ecosystem.
