Abstract

Bauhinia acuminate is an important medicinal plant and is commonly known as Kachnar. It belongs to the Fabaceae family and mostly found in areas of Southeast Asia. Its many species are widely planted in the tropics as ornamental, particularly in northern India, Vietnam and south eastern China.
