Abstract

Cervical cancer is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer worldwide and the fourth leading cause of cancer death in women but in India, it is the leading cancer among women accounting for more than 74,000 deaths per year. The principal causative agent for the development of cervical cancer is the infection of specific high- risk types of human papillomaviruses (HPVs). . India has a population of 366.58millions women ages 18-year s and older who are at risk of developing cervical cancer.
