Abstract

Physicochemical and bacteriological characteristics of the quality of water samples from different sources were analysed in the laboratory. It was observed that the water available in the city was moderately hard and contained some toxic metals mainly Copper, Zinc, Chromium, Nickel, Iron, Arsenic, Cadmium, Cobalt and Lead due to the informal recycling and processing of E-waste by the brass and plating industry in the area.

Baseline water stress measures total annual water withdrawals (municipal, industrial and agriculture) expressed as a percent of the total annual available flow for 2010.
