Abstract

Expansive soil represents a well-known category of problematic soil from civil engineering point of view. The design of foundation on black cotton soil (expansive soil) has always been a difficult task for the engineers. For any structure, the foundation is very important and it has to strong, to support the entire structure. The structure constructed on the black cotton soil, gives cracks without any warning.
