Abstract

Corrosion inhibition of aluminium in 1.5N sulfuric acid by Datura stramonium leaves, Carica papaya leaves and Tamaridus indica leave extracts were studied using weight loss method at 30℃, 40℃, 50℃, and 60℃. The results obtained indicate that the extracts inhibited the corrosion process in the medium by adsorption and that the corrosion rate increased with rising temperature. The Corrosion rate was also found to decrease in the presence of the inhibitor as compared to the blank.
