Abstract

Social media networks have transformed the daily routines of people, especially the millennials who have adapted to the burgeoning usage of social media networks like fishes to water. Through this paper the researcher tries to explore, understand and throw light on the nature of involvement, usage characteristics and preferences of generation Y concerning social networking sites. This paper also draws important insights on nature or level of the cohort’s involvement in such networks and use of these platforms. Marketers today are making use of social media networks in order to build brands and profitable relationships with customers by carrying out marketing programs on these media.
