Abstract

Climate change is a global phenomenon in which an unusual change in weather is observed at a place. Considering the Indian scenario, the tropical land experienced climate change in the form of retreating glaciers in the Himalayan Ranges, acidification of seas, and rising sea levels. Climate change lays human and economic implications in the form of loss of infrastructure, increased health risks, food security issues, and shortage of resources. To eliminate the rising issues related to climate change National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC) has been adopted by the Indian Government on June 30, 2008, to focus on climate change conditions and implications in the country.
