Abstract

Performance refers to the accomplishment of the tasks that made up an individual’s job. It is a systematic and objective way of evaluating both work related behavior and potential, it is a process that involves determining and communicating to an employee and indicates how well an individual is fulfilling the job demands. Performance measures also link information gathering and decision making processes which provide a basis for judging the effectiveness of personnel sub-divisions such as recruiting, selection, training and compensation etc.
