Kolluru has provided all the important records which were necessary in developing this exploratory essay about village deities (Grama Devata). Kolluru Devi temple is now popular across India. Previously, the Kolluru temple was also a village deity, and over time has developed into a full-fledged temple adhering to the Aagama Shastra, now attracting innumerable devotees. This write-up is an attempt to showcase the untapped scope for research here.
