Abstract

This research paper aimed to know the role of parents and coaches in becoming the Hockey India League (HIL) Player. The objectives of the research paper were to find out the role of coaches in the selection of Haryana hockey players in HIL and to find out the role of parents in the selection of players in HIL. The study was conducted on thirty (30) male hockey players. A purposive sampling method was followed for the selection of samples. All the selected samples participated in the Hockey India League (HIL) Tournament. The selected variables for the study were the role of parents in becoming the Hockey India League player (RPHILP) and the role of coaches in the Hockey India League selection (RCHILS).
