Abstract

The problem of global food wastage has assumed such humungous proportions that it is deemed to be the most insidious vice of modern existence, and attempt to scale this issue in light of food wastage occurring in Dubai, particularly in the restaurants and catering sector was made in this study. The scope of this project, however, was limited to the consumption and disposal stages of the food life cycle. The entirety of the project was to study the problem from a three-pronged approach: consumers, restaurant owners, and Municipality.
