EXAMINING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ACHIEVEMENT MOTIVATION AND MOOD DISORDER: A STUDY OF EMPLOYEES WORKING IN IT COMPANIES OF DELHI

This study has surveyed 109 employees of IT companies from Delhi. Snowball technique was used to reach out to participants. 56 males and 53 females participated in the study. A negative significant relationship was found between achievement motivation and mood disorder. It was found that the people who are low on online social network are significantly higher than the ones low on online social network on Achievement Motivation. It was also found that people high on online social network are significantly higher on mood disorder. The study suggests that organizations need to bring interventions as regard to allowing people to interact and build relationships offline to keep a check on mood and work towards achievement motivation.
