Abstract

Flood impact is one of the most significant disasters in India as well as in the world. More than one third of Asia flood damages occur in India and The city Bhubaneswar also never escape from flood for it many causes. Mainly due to natural factors such as heavy rainfall, high floods and high tides, etc., and human factors such as blocking of channels or aggravation of drainage channels, improper land use, deforestation in city and adjoining areas, etc. Floods result in losses of life and damage properties.
