Abstract

Globalization has made organizations face a tough competition in the business world of today. The importance of new and effective HR practices has now been realized by the business organizations just to gain a competitive edge over others. The performance of employees has become an important issue for measurement of performance of the organization as it is a widely accepted truth that the only organization that performs will survive and succeed. That’s why most of the organizations have now started minutely observing and focusing on their employees’ performance. Performance management may be taken as a subsystem of human resource management function to focus on extending support to the development of workers individually and organizational as a whole.
