Abstract

Literature and screenplays are written in words, but they play different roles in the enjoyment phase. Literature produces different symbols and meanings with each reading. But the screenplay is the outline of the film to be made later. The role of the screenplay-writer is to give the Director the clues he needs to make a film. Therefore, screenplay does not need literary qualities. Literature, on the other hand, is an expression of the writer's freedom. But the screenplay is bound by the Director’s restrictions.
