In the present study, an attempt has been made to study the difference in achievement with respect to different categories of secondary students (i.e. CBSE, ICSE and WBBSE). The study was carried out on a sample of 500 secondary school students (150 students from CBSE, 150 students from ICSE and 200 students from WBBSE secondary schools) of Murshidabad and Kolkata districts of West Bengal. For the present study 500 secondary school students were selected randomly from the two districts. The data were collected through Achievement test developed by the investigators themselves. The t-test was calculated to find out the significance of difference between sample means. The result of the investigation reveals that there exists significant difference between CBSE and ICSE students. Again, there exists significant difference between CBSE and WBBSE students and also there exists significant difference between WBBSE and ICSE students.
