Abstract

Periphery layer flows on continuous elongating surfaces moving in quiescent fluid medium in industrial manufacturing processes are of present interest in recent years. One can assume that elongating of the periphery varies with distance from the die in the manner of power law. For example, flows along the liquid films in condensation processes, cooling of a metallic bowl in a cooling bath, aerodynamic extrusion of plastic sheets, drawing of plastic films and metal and polymer extrusion, etc. Both elongating and heating or cooling simultaneously during such processes has a significant effect on the final products. Periphery value delinquents over an infinite interval are of special interest and a very few of them have got methodical elucidations.
